1985
Wojtek found out about the existance of people in the Lublin region of Poland, who make drums. So, from city he moved all the way to the village Pryszczowa Hill. There he met Andrzej Mazurek, Sloma, and Pawel Myczkowski. Living in the fields he deepened his knowledge in the art of drums, percussions music, and also became fascinated in carving statues in the traditional folk way.
One day he heard about the existance of the musical percussion instruments made out of steel containers, mostly oil containers, and using the method of hammering out. This is how the great fascination and journey began.
"Music is for me bringing together the sounds of the world and a way of letting the soul come out. Work with steeldrums and metal inspired the expirimantation with other materials. Gongs, kowble, tankdrum, hangdrum, small, big, set - this is what interests and unravels me. It also, helps in the method and skill of picking the correct tune and sound in instruments. It especially helps with tuning various instruments to one single harmony".
